Kottayam: A woman died after a lorry crashed into the rear of a bike in the 8th mile, Pampady, on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Shiny Sam (48), a Meenadam native.
The incident happened around 12:30 PM when she was returning home with his son. The torus lorry rammed into the bike's rear, leading to Shiny falling on the road. Unfortunately, she was crushed to death under the wheels of a lorry. Her son, Akhil, survived with minor injuries.
The body is shifted to the mortuary of Kottayam Medical College. Two years ago, Shiny's elder son Akhil Sam died in an accident in Bengaluru.
