Pathanamthitta: A woman died after a speeding car rams into her here on Monday. The deceased is identified as Simli (36), wife of Padinjatethil Rajesh. Her husband Rajesh (38) has been admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College with severe injuries.

The incident happened around 3.30 pm on Monday near MC road in Puthussery. It is reported that the couple were engaged in a conversation alongside the road after parking their scooters.

The car that lost control was coming from Kottarakkara side and smashed the protective fence on the road.

The couple and their children were living in a rented house near Churakode Kalathattu junction.

The couple has two kids Raiser Rajesh and Riya Rajesh. Simli's body is kept in the mortuary of Adoor Govt. General Hospital.
