Naduvil (Kannur): A woman and her daughter were found dead near Pullam Vanam near Pulikurumba here. The deceased are identified as Sajitha (34) and her daughter Nandootty (8).
The incident took place on Saturday at 6 in the evening. It is learnt that family issues led to the suicide. Kudiyanmala police took Sajitha’s husband Manoj into custody for interrogation.
The locals said that Sajitha had an extramarital affair with another man and this led to issues in both families. Following this, the other man’s wife Sangeetha (30) had attempted suicide by consuming poison a few days back and is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Mangaluru.
Sajitha also had attempted suicide an year ago by consuming poison. Nandootty was class 3 student at Pulikurumba UP School. Sajitha also has a 12-year-old son named Adith.
