Kochi: Unitac builders MD Santhosh Eappen said that he is discontinuing the Life Mission project. He also said that the UAE Consulate did not give him Rs 8.60 crore as promised and that his company obtained the contract of Wadakkancherry Life Mission project not through tender procedures.

Santhosh Eappen revealed this in an exclusive interview with Biju Pankaj of Mathrubhumi News. It was Sandeep Nair who started the discussion over Life Mission project. Former principal secretary to chief minister M Sivasankar introduced me to the Life Mission officials at his chamber. My business has failed, Santhosh Eappen said.

There was no tender procedures in Wadakkancherry Life Mission deal. Santhosh Eappen also admitted that commission was paid in the Life Mission project. The Egyptian citizen asked for money directly when I visited the consulate, Eappen said.
