Idukki: I will shoot if the party (CPM) asks me to do, said former minister MM Mani to the growing discontent with former MLA S Rajendran. Rajendran had earlier said that he will not continue in the party that backs Mani.

Don't think I am just sitting here idly as a special invitee to the CPM state committee. I will shoot if the party asks me to. Rajendran does not deserve to be part of CPM, Mani said.

Reacting to this, Rajendran retorted that he will not put on bullet proof vests fearing Mani. He is asking me to go back to Tirunelveli. My ancestors came here and worked tirelessly to build a life here. The party local leadership is torturing my family, he said.

CPM district secretary CV Varghese said Rajendran has not grown enough to evaluate Mani.
