Will resort to Gandhian values to block women attempting to enter Sabarimala temple: Rahul Easwar
New Delhi: President of the Ayyappa Dharma Sena Rahul Easwar said that he considers the Supreme Court’s decision to refer the review petitions on Sabarimala women entry to a larger bench as a positive step. The fact that the court reviewed its earlier decision hints that it was flawed. Although it is a small step forward, it is a huge victory for the devotees, said Rahul Easwar.
He also stated that he is not against joining hands with other religious groups adding that they will fight along the Parsi, Muslim and Christian communities to protect the belief of the devotees.
“If women attempt to enter Sabarimala like last time, we will block them using Gandhian means. Last time we were also at fault in launching violent protests against the verdict. We will organise necessary protests this time, rectifying our past mistakes” Rahul Easwar said.
