Will oppose if women are forced to participate in women wall: K Surendran
Kozhikode: BJP state general secretary K Surendran on Monday said that the party will oppose if women are forcefully made to participate in the women wall. There are ongoing moves to threaten Kudumbashree workers, MGNREGA employees and Asha workers to take part in the wall.
Speaking to media, Surendran said that government should clarify the uncertainties surrounding the women wall. Government is of the stance that men have no role in renaissance movements. He also opined that political programmes shouldn’t be hosted with government money.
No women will participate in the event if Sabarimala issue is quoted, hence government has changed the theme, he said.
Speaking about the BJP called hartal, Surendran said that hartals can’t be called after researching on the issue. It is a sudden reaction to an issue. What is done is done, it can’t be taken back, he stated.
Why are Left-Right fronts competing with each other, if Rahul Gandhi is to be made the PM? The Left front should dissolve in UDF. Pinarayi should clarify whether they accept Rahul Gandhi’s prime ministership, Surendran added.
