Will meet PM to discuss SilverLine Project: Chief Minister
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan declared that he will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Semi High-Speed Rail (SilverLine) project. He pointed out that he will inform the PM about the facts and rumours related to the project.
At the same time, Pinarayi Vijayan also condemned the campaigns against SilverLine Project which is promoted as an eco-friendly project.
“There are attempts to drag the central government to the movement against the project as BJP is also hand in glove with the group which opposes developmental projects in Kerala,” said the CM while inaugurating a dharna in front of Raj Bhavan here on Tuesday.
He raised a sharp criticism against the protest against SilverLine Project.
“ The people who oppose the project are trying their maximum to interrupt its execution. It is learnt that their activities are influencing the centre too. I think BJP’s stance on the matter may be a reason for it. Now, some people who supported the project initially also did a volte-face,” he added.
