Will implement SC verdict on Sabarimala after seeking clarity: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan
Kozhikode: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that some of the media reports in connection with the Sabarimala verdict were whims and fancy.
Taking to Facebook to air his opinion, the CPM leader added that the state government will seek clarity regarding the SC verdict and implement the same.
The CPM’s stance is that equality must be there in every field. The governments must work according to the rules, regulations and court orders of their time. Till September 28, 2018, the LDF government acted on the Sabarimala women entry issue according to the Kerala High Court order in 1991, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said.
It is the government’s responsibility to implement the latest SC verdict. However, there is a general opinion that the verdict is confusing. Hence, the government will carry out its constitutional responsibility of implementing the SC verdict after seeking clarity regarding the order, the CPM state secretary added.
