Thiruvananthapuram: The political report of CPI, meant to be presented in its upcoming party conferences, affirms that the party would 'continue to correct the LDF whenever it deviates from the political line'. On multiple occasions, including in passing the recent Lok Ayukta ordinance, the second-largest party of the ruling front had expressed a different opinion than that of the CPM, the primary constituent.
The report, however, ended the rumours that the party was against the prestigious project of the government, the SilverLine semi high-speed rail. It snubs the protests against K-Rail as the opposition's instigation.
Implementing the policies of LDF is the duty of the party. We must be always alert to keep up the trust of the people, it reads. The resolution also criticises China's actions on the Indian border.
The political report will be presented in the conferenced held ahead of the 24th Party Congress.
