Kochi: Commenting on tight security for CM in the wake of protests over his alleged links in the Gold Smuggling case, the Opposition leader VD Satheesan has said that CM is blinded by darkness.
“Will CM ban the black colour itself?” he asked.
Satheesan was referring to the police forcefully removing black masks used by even octogenarians out of fear that the black mask would be waved against the CM.
He elaborated on the measures in place for the security of the CM “who otherwise claims that he is not afraid of anyone”.
The convoy has 40 cops and more than one dozen other officials, claimed Satheesan. On the en route, there are cops at every 20 m stretch, he added.
He referred CM as dhoti-clad Narendra Modi and said that “CM is challenging the people of Kerala by projecting himself as a different genus in the middle of the tight security.
Satheesan also cited CM’s remarks during the press meet before the swearing ceremony in 2016. “He then said that no avatars will be seen in the governance”, but now we can find avatars everywhere in the secretariat, CM’s office and on all roads, he said.
