Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Co-operative Service Examination Board Chairman SU Rajeev said that the board will amend terming differently abled persons as disabled. The job notifications of the board use the term disabled even now. The chairman informed that the mistake came to notice when ‘Mathrubhumi Thozhilvartha’ pointed it out.

Banks usually conduct interviews of shortlisted applicants within two months of receiving the list prepared by the board. This will be reduced to one month, the chairman said. The board has taken this decision to publish the rank list quickly and avoid delay in recruitment.

The government should take the decision on the court directive that the last grade service recruitment should also be conducted by the examination board, he added.

Rajeev also said that the board is thinking about publishing the exam calendar in advance. Age relaxation of three years for applicants belonging to the economically backward section in the non-reserved category has been implemented from the October notification, he said.
