Kannur: A tourist bus carrying people to a wedding met with an accident after getting trapped on a power line here on Saturday. Following this, the electric post and line fell over the bus.
The passengers had a narrow escape as the power connection got disconnected on time.
The accident took place at Nettur Masjid road here on Saturday. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. The scooter rider who was behind the bus also had a narrow escape.
Following the accident, traffic through the road was halted temporarily. KSEB officials rushed to the spot and cleared the power line and electric post from the bus.
The accident took place after the power line got trapped into the luggage carrier on top of the bus.
The natives pointed out that the power lines are found dangling as there is a long distance between the two electric post. The bus met with the accident due to this problem.
