The wedding of Anju Ashokan, daughter of late Ashok Kumar and Bindu, will take place on January 19 and the mother-daughter stay at a rented place at Cheravally.

Kayamkulam: The Muslim Jamaat committee has come forward to conduct the Hindu marriage of an underprivileged girl. The Cheravally Muslim Jamaat mosque is happy to conduct the Hindu wedding at the Islamic academy near its premises.

The wedding of Anju Ashokan, daughter of late Ashok Kumar and Bindu, will take place on January 19 and the mother-daughter stay at a rented place at Cheravally.

As Bindu was unable to meet the expenses of the marriage of her daughter, she approached the Jamaat with an application for help. Cheravally Muslim Jamaat committee secretary Nujumudeen Alummoottil met the office bearers and decided to conduct the wedding and incur the expense of the wedding. After Asok Kumar died, the family was facing lot of hardship.

The groom is Sarath Sasi, son of Sasidharan and Mini. The wedding has been fixed on January 19 between 11.30 am and 12.30 pm. The wedding invitation is being sent out to all by the family and the Jamaat committee.

The Jamaat committee is setting an example to show that religion does not come in the way to show love and kindness.
