We stand by state govt, says Kerala BJP; slams Karnataka
Thrissur: BJP spokesperson B. Gopalakrishnan said that the stance taken by Karanataka by not opening the border with Kasaragod in Kerala, even after a direction from Supreme Court, is discourteous.
Acting against the affidavit submitted at the SC is contempt of court. The fear and anxiety felt by Karnataka in case of Kasaragod COVID-19 situation is understandable. They had agreed to screen patients at the border and to allow those who are not infected with coronavirus to Mangaluru. Now they shouldn’t go back on their words, he added.
“In Kerala BJP stands by the public, stands by the state government. Karnataka should open the border road at the earliest. Everything else matters later. They shouldn’t forget that even patients arrive from Karnataka to Kerala for better treatment,” Gopalakrishnan further said.
