We have lost a Guardian of love: K K Shailaja


"Veerendra Kumar Sir is like a Guru to me. He was always a companion of the Left and took good care of me. He used to advise me like a teacher," the Minister said.

Kozhikode: Health Minister K K Shailaja condoled the death of writer and orator M P Veerendra Kumar who passed away on Thursday night at Kozhikode.

"Veerendra Kumar Sir is like a Guru to me. He was always a companion of the Left and took good care of me. He used to advise me like a teacher," the Minister said.

A good orator and writer, his books and travelogues are a great experience, she said. The Minister added that she had read his book 'Kaanacharadukkal' and used to refer to it while speaking against capitalism.

Veerendra Kumar had participated in the video conference held two days back with MPs and MLAs and spoke about the prevention measures undertaken for Coronavirus activities. He also hailed the Chief Minister and expressed his cooperation in all the actions done by the government.

"He was a great supporter to all of us. We have lost a person who was like a Guru. We have lost a guardian of love," said Shailaja.
