We do not need a `Sarsanghchalak' from Congress party, says K Surendran
Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K Surendran alleged that Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is trying to take the public attention away from Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case by making allegations about RSS links. K Surendran was speaking via video conferencing at a protest organized by BJP, demanding the resignation of Kerala Chief Minister in connection with the gold smuggling case.
Surendran said that Kodiyeri Balakrishnan does not have any moral right to defend Pinarayi Vijayan in the case and also asked the CPM state secretary how he settled two controversies surrounding his son using money.
CPM leaders are the source of gold smuggling and all corrupt activities related to it. Kodiyeri is trying to take the attention away from these issues. We would like to clarify that we do need a new ‘ Sarsanghchalak’ . We do not need any ‘Sarsanghchalak’ from congress party. He also added that they are not concerned about the history of Ramesh Chennithala or S Ramachandran Pillai.
Ramesh Chennithala is protected by CPI(M). It was the CPM leaders who sabotaged the vigilance investigation against Ramesh Chennithala. Marad case was settled by CPM and Congress party together. Hence, the efforts to deviate attention of the public will not work out, Surendran stated.
This is the first time in the country’s history that a Chief Minister’s office has been accused of being party to an anti-national activity. The state government is interfering to save the accused in the case. The BJP president also alleged that a group of advocates affiliated to CPM are trying to sabotage the case.
