We are waking up from Covid-19 induced crisis: CM Pinarayi Vijayan
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said that the state is waking up from Covid-19 induced crisis and the opening of the educational institutions is an important step in that direction.
In a Facebook post, Pinarayi pointed out that since 95 percent of the eligible population has been vaccinated, the state can further ease the Covid-19 curbs. He urged the parents and teachers to strictly follow the guidelines. CM reassured that mechanisms to ensure the safety of students in the schools are in place. There is also a mechanism for review and rectification, he added.
Online education has progressed over the two years in its best form. However, it restricted co-learning and playing. “That situation is changing from tomorrow,’’ he wrote in his Facebook post.
CM has appealed to the citizens that society as a whole should extend the support for the smooth transition from the Covid-19 crisis.
The state Excise and Local Self-Governments Minister M V Govindan Master has directed the local bodies to maintain caution and work towards ensuring the safety of school-going children.
