Thiruvananthapuram: According to the information disclosed in the assembly, the water usage at Kerala Water Resources Minister Roshy Augustine's official residence is more than 50,000 litres per month.

The minister has used a total of 1.22 lakh litres of water in the June and July months of 2022. That means on average, the minister used 61,000 litres in a month.

Augustine himself revealed the data in response to TJ Saneesh Kumar Joseph’s question in the assembly.

While the tariff hike was in limelight, Augustine had asked whether 100 litres of water per day was enough for a family of four.

The new revelation and old remarks put the minister in the soup.

The minister’s official residence has two drinking water connections. As per data, a total of 1.12 lakh litres of water was used up in June and 10,000 litres in July.
