Water level in Bharathappuzha rises due to heavy rain
Anakkara (Palakkad): After three days of incessant rain, water level in River Bharathappuzha increased. Last year, the water level in the river was very low.
According to the Central Water Commission report, water level in Kumbidi Kankappuzha is above 4 metres on Sunday evening.
Apart from this, the paddy fields and canals which have dried up have been filled in the rain. Also, the wells and ponds were filled with water ending the drinking water scarcity in many places.
The monsoon is yet to start in the state. But the fields and water bodies are already full due to the heavy rainfall. Rain continued without break in the western area of the district on Sunday also.
