Pathanamthitta: A major leak was spotted on the gold-plated roof of Sabarimala temple's sanctum sanctorum. The Travancore Devaswom Board will convene a meeting soon to discuss the repair works.

It is reported that water from the roof is falling on the statues of Dwarapalaka. After noticing this, the devaswom board decided to examine the roof after removing the gold layers.

The TDB officials cited the poor condition of the old roof as reason for the leakage. The devaswom board officials spotted the water leakage the other day.

TDB will summon a meeting at Thiruvananthapuram to discuss the matter. The repair works will be completed immediately, informed the officials in charge.
