Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Water Authority reduced the time limit to pay water bills to 15 days from the bill date for domestic users. At least 12 per cent of the bill amount will be levied as fine if it is paid within the next 15 days of the due date.
The water supply will be disrupted if the consumer fails to pay the bill within the given time period. 18 per cent has to be paid as fine while paying the bill after 30 days from the bill date.
Commercial users will also have to pay the bills within the above-mentioned time limit. However, they have to pay 24 per cent of the bill as fine after 30 days from the bill date.
