Metro Micky

Kochi: Kochi witnessed a series of drama on Monday after a cat got stuck under the Kochi metro bridge. The cat which was resuced by Fire Force became a star in Kochi. Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) named it Metro Micky. At present, Metro Micky is under 24-hour observation at Panambilly Nagar veterinary hospital.

“The five-month old cat belongs to Tabby breed and has no health issues at present. But it is disturbed after getting trapped and seeing the huge crowd. It has food and water without any issues,” said veterinary doctor K Sooraj.

The visuals of rescuing the cat have gone viral on social media. Following this large number of people are approaching SPCA to takeover the cat as pet animal, reported SPCA Ernakulam secretary Sajeevan.

On Tuesday, anti-rabies vaccine and other vaccines will be administrated to Micky. Following this, action will be taken to hand it over to the people who wish to adopt it.

“People who have many cats at home cannot adopt it. With this rule, we aim to ensure complete safety of Micky,” said SPCA secretary.

Those who are interested to adopt the cat are requested to contact SPCA officials in Ernakulam.
