Thiruvananthapuram: Finance Minister KN Balagopal on Wednesday assured that wage issues faced by Anganwadi, ASHA workers, pre-primary teachers, cooking staff and literacy workers would be addressed by the state government.

Further, the finance minister announced a special fund to launch KSRTC's Grama Vandi buses in every assembly constituency. Minister Antony Raju said the union government has already adopted 'Grama Vandi' to be implemented nationally.

Additionally, Rs 2 crore is allocated for Pattaya Mission, a project aimed to hasten land distribution to the state's landless population.

KERAFED will prepare a special package to revive Neera companies facing setbacks in recent years.

Meanwhile, members of the opposition UDF on Thursday disrupted the proceedings in the Kerala Assembly over the Left government's refusal to roll back the budget proposals to levy cess on fuel and liquor sales, leading to the adjournment of the House for the day.
