Thrissur: A class four student of Wadakkanchery reportedly sustained a snake bite when he alighted from the school bus. The student, who belongs to Government Boys LP School, Wadakkachery, was quickly shifted to a hospital. He is stable now.
The classes of the boys school are currently taking place on the premises of Government Girls LP School as construction work is underway. The accident happened when he was walking to the classroom after alighting from the bus. It is believed that a viper snakelet bit him. Friends informed the teachers about the accident.
Ward councillor said that the bushes on the premises were cleared ahead of school opening.
