Thrissur: The Wadakkanchery rape case victim on Monday approached the court saying that she has no faith in the present investigation team.
In a petition filed in the court, the victim asked the court to conduct the investigation of the case under its supervision.
The investigation team the other day had said that it has not received scientific evidence in the case and that the complainant was not able to correctly indicate the place where she was raped.
The team has taken the stand that further action in the case need to be taken only after court order.
The woman had alleged that she was gangraped by four men, including CPM Vadakkancherry branch committee member and Municipal Councillor Jayanthan, two years ago. The issue hit the headlines following a Facebook post by film dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi. CPM has suspended Jayanthan from the party following the allegation.
