Boat involved in the accident
Kochi: Two fishing boats were destroyed in different accidents that took place in Vypin here. The mission to rescue the people aboard the boats is underway.
The first boat accident took place near New Vypin in the wee hours of Wednesday. The debris of this boat remained in the spot. The second accident happened about 2 nautical miles away from LNG Vypin after hitting the debris of the first boat which was destroyed in the morning.
The first boat that met with the accident was completely destroyed. There were 40 people aboard. Two of them were admitted to the hospital as their conditions worsened.
The second boat that was returning after fishing at night. The rescue mission is being carried out with the help of coastal police.
The debris of previous boat accidents remain in the place and this is said to be the reason behind the frequent boat accidents.
