Kochi: An old video of driver Jomon, who allegedly caused the Vadakkencherry accident, standing and dancing while driving a bus had gone viral recently. Police informed that the accused had admitted that he was guilty and said the video was shot during a trip to Pune.

Jomon said that he is not sure whether there were passengers in the bus. Alathur DySP informed that the investigating team will interrogate the accused in detail after obtaining him under custody as they are not convinced of his statements.

The video which surfaced following the Vadakkencherry mishap showed Jomon standing and dancing with just fingers on the steering wheel.

Meanwhile, the police will submit a preliminary report of investigation at the High Court regarding the accident which claimed the lives of nine passengers. The High Court has ordered the investigating team to appear in the court on Monday.
