Koyilandi (Kozhikode): The representatives and workers of Chemancheri panchayat cannot be happy unless they serve the visitors to the office with a cup of tea or coffee. Biscuits, cakes and unni appams will be served along with the tea and coffee. If the visitor needs a glass of chilled water, instead of tea or coffee, that is also available.

The money required for this not taken out of the Panchayat’s fund. Instead, Panchayat representatives and workers chip in a sum from their own pockets.

The Chai treat started in the Panchayat office from December 1. Upon hearing about this, Thiruvangoor Kerala Feeds Ltd company sponsored a Tea and Coffee making machine.
