SL Soni and Sivaprasad
Kasaragod: Bellur Nettanige Group Village Officer and sweeper were arrested for bribery charges. Village Officer S L Soni (45), a native of Thiruvananthapuram and casual sweeper Nettanige K Sivaprasad (37) of Kinningar were arrested. The village officer demanded liquor and Rs 2,000 to issue the title deed.
The complainant is a native of Mulleria and had applied for a title deed and a sketch for his wife's land in Bellur. The officials demanded bribe to issue the document. Sweeper K Sivaprasad was helping to collect the bribe at the village office.
