Vigilance raid yields nothing, only proves my innocence: MLA VS Sivakumar
Thiruvananthapuram: Former minister VS Sivakumar said that the vigilance raid that was carried out at his residence answers all allegations that have been levelled against him. It is reported that although the raid went on for 17 hours, they were not able to find anything.
The raid took place in connection with money laundering cases filed agaisnt him. Vigilance special cell had submitted an FIR naming Sivakuamar as the first accused in the case.
VS Sivakumar responded that this was a blow to all those who have tried to tarnish the names of public workers. He also added that the raid was a blessing to him as he was able to prove not only his innocence but his debts as well.
The MLA reiterated his accusation that this year’s state budget did not take Thiruvananthapuram’s needs into consideration and was only during his ministerial tenure with the previous government that the capital city was given its due respect.
