Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI (M) has slammed Finance Minister Thomas Isaac in connection with the Vigilance investigation in KSFE. The CPI (M) secretariat observed that Isaac should have avoided making public statements. The Finance Minister had sharply criticised the Vigilance raid in KSFE.

In a press statement, the CPI (M) also said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan himself had clarified that the Vigilance investigation in KSFE was a routine action.

“Some reactions regarding the Vigilance investigation in KSFE have been misinterpreted and used to spread misinformation. The reactions were made with the view that some people were using the investigation to tarnish the image of a successful entity such as KSFE. But such public statements should have been avoided,” CPI (M)’s press statement read.

The CPI (M) also clarified that any rumours of dissent within the party and government in the backdrop of the Vigilance investigation in KSFE were baseless. Such rumours are the futile efforts of political opponents to create confusion, the CPI (M) said.
