Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Financial Enterprises (KSFE) chairman Peelipose Thomas criticised the Vigilance Department. He alleged that the Vigilance officers, who came to KSFE branches for investigation with pre-prepared questions had no idea about how chit funds worked.

Peelipose Thomas also said that no serious lapses were found in the internal audits conducted by KSFE following allegations of misappropriation of funds in its branches. He was speaking to the media after completing internal audits in 36 branches of KSFE where Vigilance officials held investigations.

Serious lapses were not found in any of the KSFE branches. Apart from several small lapses such as incomplete daily register of business, no serious lapses were found in the internal audit.

If the Vigilance Department has found any lapses, let them clarify it. I will respond to it afterwards, said Peelipose Thomas.
