Kozhikode: The Vigilance and Forest Intelligence wing inspected the tourist centres under the forest department in Kozhikode, Wayanad and Malappuram in the backdrop of Tanur boat tragedy.

The officials directed the boat owners to display the registration certificates, fitness and insurance certificates of the boats. The team could not find any lapses during the inspections conducted on Thursday.

The flash inspections were carried out based on the guidelines issued by the Additional Principal Chief Forest Conservator (Vigilance and Forest Intelligence) Pramod G Krishnan and North Zone Inspection and Evaluation Forest Conservator Narendra Babu.
