Verdict equal to stating Babri Masjid was never demolished, says Kunhalikutty
Malappuram: Reacting on the Supreme Court verdict acquitting all the accused in Babri Masjid case, MP P K Kunhalikutty said that the verdict is equal to saying that the mosque was never demolished and that the investigation agency should file an appeal.
"It was the Supreme Court that stated illegal activities took place there. Also the probe agency pointed out all the accused. A verdict acquitting all of them was never expected. Even the delayed verdict cannot be justified. Besides, the accused were acquitted. This is equal to stating that the Babri Masjid was never demolished and it still remains there," Kunhalikutty said.
"The investigation agency should file an appeal against this. We have to show the world Indian Judicial system upholds truth and justice. The mosque was demolished during the attack. The accused were present there and nobody tried to stop the demolition," he said. He added that the verdict is unfortunate.
