New Delhi: Annie Raja termed KC Venugopal’s sudden outburst over the statements made by the party against MM Mani as unwarranted. “Venugopal can lament over his party and the women in his party. CPI does not work as per the whims of Congress,” she said.
Annie Raja termed KC Venugopal's remark as aggressive. He had condemned the reactions of CPM leaders against her and Binoy Viswam in the controversy involving MM Mani.
“A state like Kerala must witness open discussions about sensitive topics such as gender equality. Debates and discussions will encourage more women to assume roles in responsible positions. We wish for further discussion on women in politics,” Annie Raja said.
Meanwhile, Congress had alleged that Kanam Rajendran and CPI leadership took on a mode of silence over the matter involving MM Mani.
