Vengara bypoll: IUML to review dip in vote share
Kozhikode: The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has decided to inspect the dip in vote share for the party candidate in the recent Vengara byelection.
A decision in this regard was taken at the party leadership meeting held here on Wednesday. The party has deputed its Malappuram district committee to analyse the results.
Meanwhile, the meeting noted that party candidate KNA Khader was successful in garnering all traditional votes. It also observed that the personal votes secured by PK Kunhalikutty as well as the neural ones went in favour of LDF nominee.
Earlier, the UDF meeting convened in Kozhikode had termed the victory authoritative.
Meanwhile, the state committee meeting of Youth League had criticised the party leadership. During discussions, it was pointed out that the mistakes in fixing candidate took the sheen of victory.
