Kozhikode: Muslim League Leader E. T. Muhammed Basheer has responded to the criticism by SNDP General Secretary Vellappally Natesan against P. K. Kunhalikkutty.

E. T. Muhammed Basheer alleged that the SNDP leader’s statement was filled with extreme communal sentiment. Such statements will be made at regular intervals. They are playing the trick of alleging communalism against Muslim League to promote upper class communalism.

Earlier, Vellappally Natesan had said that UDF has been shredded to pieces in the state. The SNDP leader had alleged that Kunhalikkutty was trying to unite minorities as he was afraid of not gaining power. Vellappally’s statement came out after Kunhalikkutty held discussions with Christian Church leaders.

Vellappally Natesan had said that certain unprecedented alliances have been formed in the state. These alliances have made Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala irrelevant in Kerala politics.

Vellappally further added that there was no doubt that PK Kunhalikutty will hijack UDF in Kerala politics.
