Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader VD Satheesan on Monday slammed Governor Arif Mohammed Khan’s policy address in the Legislative Assembly and termed it the “worst policy address” in history.

“The policy address is the result of a truce with the government. It made the Governor make a laughable statement that the financial condition of the state is sound, whereas in reality, the government is unable to even provide salaries,” said Satheesan.

“In the address, the Governor lauded Kerala Police, but they are the worst. There are even minority-majority terrorists in our police force. The government, which banned accredited journalists from the Secretariat, is now talking about freedom of the press,” slammed the leader.

Meanwhile, Muslim League national secretary PK Kunhalikutty opined that the policy address was devoid of any criticisms against the central government.

“Even if the Centre grants approval to the SilverLine project, we will not allow its implementation,” he added.
