Vande Bharat trial run starts from TVM to Kannur; Rly officials join journey

Vande Bharat train arrives in Kollam railway station | Mathrubhumi News

Thiruvananthapuram: Vande Bharat Express commenced trial run from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur on Monday morning.

It left Thiruvananthapuram railway station at 5:10 am after arriving from Kochuveli. Top officials of the Thiruvananthapuram Division and various engineering department authorities joined the journey to Kannur. Two loco pilots joined the crew from Ernakulam.

After leaving Kollam, the train passed through Kottayam at 7:25 am and Ernakulam North railway station at 8:30 am. The train took 2:25 hours to reach Kottayam from Thiruvananthapuram.

Since the train does not stop at Shoranur Junction railway station, Palakkad division top officials will board the train from Thrissur.

The officials said the train would reach Kannur at 12:30 pm and resume its return journey to Thiruvananthapuram by 2:30 pm.

After leaving Thiruvananthapuram, the train reached Kollam railway station in 50 minutes.
