Kannur: Around 100 litre of bottled drinking water is going to waste every day in Vande Bharat Express conducting service in Kerala.

When a person books a ticket, Railways levies a certain amount for 'Rail Neer', a branded packaged drinking water bottle by IRCTC. However, many passengers are clueless that they have already paid for water bottles issued to them. Many who travel for short distances do not use these water bottles. As a result, these water bottles remain unused at the end of the journey.
