Van rams pedestrians in Ekm, kills three, including toddler

Kochi: In a tragic incident on Monday morning near Vazhakulam, a van owned by a private delivery company rammed into three pedestrians, including a toddler, resulting in their death.

The victims were identified as Mary and Prajesh, residents of Koovelippadi, and Prajesh's two-and-a-half-year-old child Alna. The accident occurred at around 7:30 am when the van lost control and crashed into the pedestrians, according to eyewitnesses.

Locals stated that the van, which was overspeeding, was en route from Muvattupuzha to the Thodupuzha region. The victims were declared dead upon reaching the hospital, while the van driver, Eldhose, sustained injuries.
