Palakkad: A teacher sustained injuries after a van carrying school children overturned after colliding with a truck. The incident took place at 1 am on Sunday at Elappully near Pollachi Road, Palakkad.
The van carried 14 students of EMS School, Tirur, and were on their way back from Tamil Nadu as part of an excursion. Reportedly, the students have not suffered severe injuries.
Meanwhile, the teacher, who sustained head injury, has been admitted to a private hospital. Soon after the accident, the passengers of the truck fled the place.
Later, the Kasaba police and Kanjikode fire unit arrived at the spot and took necessary measures.
