To the readers of Mathrubhumi

I hope the readers are aware of the circumstances that led me to leave Mathrubhumi in the long run. Now, I have to depart from Mathrubhumi for the same cause that the institution has been fighting for over a year. If my time spent in prison in Travancore proves more fruitful than my presence in the Mathrubhumi office, I am sure that readers will share in the same satisfaction that I feel. Meanwhile, it is with great sadness that I stopped writing for Mathrubhumi. However, my only consolation is that my departure will support Mathrubhumi's goals in some other way. Mathrubhumi has always championed freedom as its ideal, and it is this commitment that has made it popular both within and outside Kerala in such a short time. Until my return, my talented colleagues, who are enthusiastic about serving the public, will take the reins at Mathrubhumi and uphold its ideals. I request readers and Keralites to extend the same support to my dear friends that they have so generously given to me.
