Vaccine to be brought from nearby districts to places where shortage is experienced
Thiruvananthapuram: Shortage of vaccine has resulted in a crisis for the mega vaccination camps in the state. The health department directed to bring vaccines from nearby districts to the places where shortage is experienced. It has been decided to improve the treatment facilities and to intensify contact tracing.
The health department made special arrangements as the vaccine stock is insufficient in many districts to run the mega vaccination camps. Vaccine will be brought from nearby districts to Thiruvananthapuram and other districts, where vaccine stock is inadequate.
Vaccine camps will continue in the present method. At present, only 8 lakh doses of vaccine are stocked in the state. The central government informed that more doses of vaccine will be brought on April 15.
