New Delhi: Rajya Sabha members from Kerala raised varied opinions regarding Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan. John Brittas MP condemned the minister saying he put obstacles on the path of Kerala’s development due to his personal interests and agenda, while Muslim League leader PV Abdul Wahab praised Muraleedheeran as the “ambassador” of Kerala in Delhi.
John Brittas reminded the promise made by Muraleedharan prior to demonetisation that he would quit his political career if the Centre could not secure profit of at least Rs 4 lakh crore by stripping the currencies. Brittas condemned that all who heard the minister’s promises are here and that too on high positions.
By refuting the statements of Brittas, Abdul Wahab said that Kerala’s representation would be nil if Muraleedharan was not in Delhi. Although, whenever he arrived in Kerala, he praised the Centre and its projects, added Wahab. He also applauded Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who is in-charge of skill development.
Meanwhile, Congress leader K Muraleedharan discarded the statements of Abdul Wahab. The opinions of Wahab are personal. It does not represent the outlook of the Muslim League, he said.
