Raveendran joined ‘Mathrubhumi’ Kozhikode unit as overseer in 1965 and later served as manager in Kochi and Kozhikode MM Press. He became regional manager of Kannur edition of ‘Mathrubhumi’ and played a key role in its growth.
Raveendran was born to Kuttiyattoor Krishnapuram native late A K Narayanan Nambiar and Vediyera Chandroth Meenakshi Amma. Raveendran is survived by wife Ayilyath Vilasini, daughter Preethi Ramesh and son Pradeep Chandroth (Merchant Navy).
Last rites will be held at NSS Shanthitheeram at Azhikkal Chal beach on Monday at 10 am.
