Uthra murder: Suraj’s mother, sister directed to appear before police on Friday

Kollam: The Crime branch police interrogated prime accused Suraj’s mother and sister in the murder case of Anchal native Uthra. Both Suraj’s mother and sister were issued notice to appear before the Kottarakkara Crime Branch office on Friday. Both were interrogated by the police for over 6 hours the other day.

There are reports that police may make an assessment of the gold possessed by Uthra. Police will search the bank lockers at Adoor. Police had unearthed 38 sovereigns of gold belonging to Uthra from Suraj’s house.

Suraj’s father Surendran Panicker who was arrested the other day will be taken to Adoor on Wednesday for evidence collection. The other accused in the case, snake catcher Suresh, will also be taken to Chathanur for evidence collection.
