Kozhikode: A 13-year-old girl, admitted to Kozhikode hospital after consuming chemicals, revealed to the police that she had been using drugs for the past eight months.
On Monday, the minor girl was admitted to Kozhikode Medical College after consuming a harmful chemical. The details of drug use came to light while Kunnamangalam Police Inspector Yusaf Nadathurammal visited her to collect the statement.
She told the police officer that she received the drugs from her classmates and peddlers at Kunnamangalam bus stand.
Meanwhile, the condition of the girl remains stable. Based on her statement, Kunnamangalam police have launched an investigation.
