Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Friday slammed UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath over his comment against Kerala.

UP witnesses jungle raj. There is no democracy or secularism. Law and order is a failure. Crime against women and children are on the rise. Kerala is way ahead of UP in all development indices, Kodiyeri said. UP should defeat BJP and become another Kerala, he said.

Yogi tried to give a wrong perspective about the state. But it boomeranged. The country is now comparing both states, and realising the facts, Kodiyeri said.

Kerala BJP leaders must acknowledge the mistake of Yogi, the CPM leader demanded.

Yogi Aditynath, on the polling day of the first phase of elections to the UP assembly, 'warned' the people to vote cautiously to avoid the state becoming a Kerala, Kashmir or West Bengal.
